Learning Like We Live: Designing Workplace Learning for the Real World
The future of learning is being shaped by the reality of modern work - and by how people already learn outside of it. In everyday life, learning happens through podcasts, conversations, and on-demand content we can dip in and out of when it suits us. At work, however, learning has often looked very different. As attention becomes more fragmented and workloads increase, the gap between how people naturally learn and how organisations design learning is becoming impossible to ignore.
Podcast-style learning is one clear example of how that gap can be closed. Audio mirrors how people consume information outside of work - on commutes, during walks, or while multitasking - and it feels human and conversational rather than instructional.
