The problem: Talent and L&D teams face growing demands, competing priorities and limited capacity. Adding more activity can leave little space for the work that matters most, yet stopping things can be difficult to justify.

About the event

How do we decide what to stop?

Following our London gathering on thriving through turbulence and change, we’re continuing the conversation with a practical, hour-long discussion about making space for the work that matters most.

Talent and L&D teams face competing demands and growing expectations. Doing less sounds sensible, but deciding what to stop, simplify or protect can be difficult, particularly when stakeholders have different priorities. Together, we’ll explore how to make those choices and build a case that leaders will support.

We’ll discuss how to recognise activities that continue through habit rather than value, challenge assumptions about what needs to be done, and use the capacity we free up to make a greater difference.

This is a community conversation, with no lead speaker or formal presentation. We hope to bring together a mix of people with experience to share and people keen to learn, with everyone contributing questions, ideas…
