About the event
Women in Leadership (WiL) is a Talent development programme created to support the advancement of female talent within Kerry. A 10-month long, cohort-based programme that includes 360 insights into development areas and strengths, a blend of face-to-face modules and virtual events, action learning sets, peer-coaching and mentoring. It’s hard-wired into our talent strategy and under-pinned by rigorous, evidence based and outcomes driven evaluation approach.
In 2020 Kerry committed to “increasing women in senior leadership roles to 35% by 2025 and in 2021 committed to gender parity in senior management roles by 2030. This was underpinned by an ambition for “a highly inclusive workplace where everyone can be at their best, contribute to our collective success and excel personally and professionally”.
In 2021 research carried out with our women@kerry group identified several areas to improve including supporting women in developing the skills and experience required to be considered for future opportunities. In addition, we identified that men outnumbered women in our Succession pipelines for leadership roles. WiL is a Talent Development programme that accelerates female talent to build more balanced Succession and Talent Pipelines. Specifically, over 10 months we wanted WiL Participants to:
- Gain influence, impact and confidence as a leader.
- Develop leadership competencies, skills and confidence for advancing in Kerry.
- Be able to identify and address unconscious bias, social silencing, acts of exclusion and issues of equity.
- Share stories, insights and learning to inspire and empower other female leaders.
… And it’s been a huge success.
